Notice anything weird about this ticket?? Yup, the end wasn’t torn off, which means it wasn’t USED!!! Here again, is a case of a ticket, but no show. The circumstances of missing this show, however were quite different from when I missed Nirvana. My friend from work had gotten us these tickets because he knew how much I liked this band. I was pretty excited since I hadn’t seen them play in 6 years, but had still been following their music. The problem was that right before this show, literally days, I developed a horrible stye in my eye. This was the first time it had ever happened to me so, at first, I had no idea what was wrong with me. After going to the eye doctor, I was better informed about my issue and started treating the problem. It literally took days for it to start getting better because I had waited so long to have it checked out. It was so disgusting. I even missed days of work because of it. So when it came time to go to this show, I was having NONE of it. I told my friend to go without me and take somebody else. But do you know what he did? He came over with another friend just to make a last-ditch effort to convince me to go. But I just wasn’t up to it. So they both hung out in my apartment and kept me company for the evening. He said he didn’t want to go with anyone else to see them. How sweet is that? So we both missed it!! lol The show was in support of Dizzy Up The Girl so I’m sure I missed a great set of songs. Oh well, sometimes things just aren’t meant to be.
