STOMP @ Shubert Theatre 11/17/95

This was my first taste of a Broadway show ever.  I wasn’t even originally supposed to go, but my girlfriends ended up with an extra ticket and invited me to join them.  STOMP had just made its way to the US via England, so I really didn’t know anything about the show.  All I knew about it was what I read in the program the night of the show.  But wow, did I get an incredible surprise when it started.  I believe there were about 8 people in the troupe and they danced and made “music”, sounds with the most unconventional items.  What they did and the sounds they created are like nothing you will ever hear or see.  As described on their official website, STOMP is “a unique combination of percussion, movement and visual comedy.”  When I say I was blown away…yeah, I was blown AWAY!!!  I was so happy that I had the opportunity to have seen this performance.  It was like no other show I had seen before or since.
