Yup.  It’s that time again.  Time to listen to what I’ve been streaming through my speakers!  Some lovely tunes have been setting the tone for me lately.  I start with some original tunes from the Liverpool Legends from their It Is What It Is album.  My old friend, Marty, plays in this band as George Harrison and co-wrote songs from this great album.  It was pretty easy to pick out my favorites.  The more emotional and dramatic songs took center stage and reminded me why I used to love going to see Marty’s old band, The Critics, back in the day.  Hear for yourself…

It Is What It Isn'tOhhh, Coldplay, how I’ve missed you.  What a lovely, but heartbreaking album this is.  For the most part Ghost Stories is an expression of Chris Martin’s feelings after his separation from Gwyneth Paltrow.  Most of the album is quite melancholy, but there are joyful bursts of spirit, like those that appear on “A Sky Full Of Stars”, that are very uplifting.  The more I listen to my favorite songs from this album, the more I adore them.

Ghost StoriesAnd then I go and end this playlist with the flavorfully delicious solo album from Damon Albarn, Everyday Robots.  I had to listen to this album SEVERAL times before I really got it.  I’ve been a Blur fan for many years and have always followed all of Damon’s projects.  I find his musical perspective refreshing, unique, & fun.  This album is no exception.  The four songs I chose here represent the different angles of this multifaceted album.  Listen & enjoy!!
